Safety Disclaimer

Saivo helps you communicate. The rest is up to the kitchen.

Last updated: May 15, 2026

Saivo is a communication aid, not a guarantee. Saivo helps you tell a server what you can't eat in their language. It can't see what's in the kitchen, supervise food preparation, or know whether a restaurant follows through. Always verify with your server when in doubt, and trust your gut — if a place seems unsure, choose somewhere else.

What Saivo does

Saivo renders a dietary card in the local language of where you're eating, based on the severity you select (Celiac, Sensitivity, or Preference), the cross-contamination warnings you toggle on, and the hidden gluten sources you want flagged. You then hand the card to a server.

Things we recommend

If something goes wrong

If you were served gluten despite using Saivo, we're sorry — that's a terrible experience. Email support@saivo.app and we'll review the translation for accuracy. If we find an error in our card text, we'll fix it in the next update. The communication breakdown between server and kitchen, however, is outside what Saivo can prevent.

Limitation of liability

Saivo and Ghostwood Software LLC provide the app on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saivo and Ghostwood Software LLC are not liable for any reaction, illness, or harm resulting from food served at any establishment, including establishments where the Saivo card was shown. Use of the app does not create a duty of care between Saivo, Ghostwood Software LLC, and any restaurant, server, or food handler.
